This group exhibit explores green as both color and idea — a reflection of life, growth, and the fragile balance of the natural world. The exhibition brings together regional artists with a deep and longstanding commitment to environmental observation, each grounded in a shared belief in nature’s resilience.

The work considers how we live within uncertainty while still holding space for renewal and transformation, amid increasing concerns around wildfires, drought, flooding, extreme heat, and species decline. The presence of green—whether literal or symbolic—offers a quiet insistence on possibility, reminding us of cycles of regeneration and the enduring strength of the natural world.

This show marks AVA’s sixth April exhibit centered around environmental consciousness, and the fifth curated by Agnes Field, whose vision has helped shape this evolving series.
