Sprays of delicate, tropical white ginger flowers in bloom on Kauai. White ginger flowers are a symbol of love in Hawaii, and are often made into beautiful and fragrant lei. During summer, huge stands of these fragrant gingers bloom throughout Kauai's cooler upland forests. These flowers were blossoming just outside our mountain cabin in Kokee.
