Walnut Grove #1042
*** Coming Soon! ***
One of 18 transparent panels installed at Hagg Lake, Oregon, illustrating the vibrancy and connections between local plants, animals, and human activity, with a focus on native species.Facing west, the Walnut Grove panel features a Crow standing over Black Walnut shells, framed by tall Horsetail. An orange Mylitta Crescent butterfly rests on the trunk of a tall Willow tree.
On the opposite side of the panel, facing east, a Yellow Warbler sings in the swaying Willow branches. Wind carries away the leaves from a Crabapple tree above, its small fruits ripe on the branches. At the bottom of the panel, Willow branches form a soft heart shape around the text 'Scoggins Valley Park'.
In this description, the names of plants and animals are capitalized in accordance with Robin Wall Kimmerer's gesture of acknowledgement, respect, and reciprocity towards the many species that share our world, supporting and sustaining us in ways we may or may not know.
