This Small Ukidama basket is 4" high x 6.5" diameter. This basket features a dark anchor stone with white stripes of fossilized clam shells. One white plastic Japanese fishing float is included with this basket.
Ukidama - Japanese Oregon Baskets (Small - Dark Stone) #712
The rope used to make these baskets was rescued from the beach near Seaside, Oregon. It included a line of white plastic floats stamped with Japanese characters. "Ukidama" means fishing floats in Japanese and is usually used to describe the netted glass floats that were used until the 1960s, now replaced by plastic.
