Tanner Creek #1031
*** Coming Soon! ***
One of 18 transparent panels installed at Hagg Lake, Oregon, illustrating the vibrancy and connections between local plants, animals, and human activity, with a focus on native species.
Facing the lake, the Tanner Creek panel features a winter scene at the edge of the day, with the bare trunks of Cherry trees glowing in the golden winter light under a dusting of snow. A Coyote roams through the quiet landscape as a Mallard Duck takes flight. At the bottom of the panel, life-size Duck tracks are printed in the snow.
On the opposite side of the panel, facing inland, a Chickadee fluffs its feathers to keep warm on a snowy branch, while a pair of Bufflehead Ducks swim below.
In this description, the names of plants and animals are capitalized in accordance with Robin Wall Kimmerer's gesture of acknowledgement, respect, and reciprocity towards the many species that share our world, supporting and sustaining us in ways we may or may not know.
