Inspired by the busy, dynamic life of tidal shallows. Metallic gold and pearlescent waxes sparkle in the light at different angles in this piece. Drawings in white and gold ink above the encaustic wax add depth, and found objects from local nature walks add a sculptural, dimensional layer.
