Burnt-wood rubbings of spruce tree stumps on Deer Isle, Maine. Created during the 2022 Open Studios artist residency at Haystack Mountain School of Crafts.

Exhibited as part of the 1000 Moons project. Artwork title derived from project poem:

I will find you in the earth
In the smell of trees
In a wildness that could never be tamed.

I will find you in a lifetime of these gifts

The silence of fog
The joy of a bird
Forgiveness,
and a thoughful mind.
