One of 18 transparent panels installed at Hagg Lake, Oregon, illustrating the vibrancy and connections between local plants, animals, and human activity, with a focus on native species.

Facing the trail, the Eagle Point North Trail panel features two Bald Eagles soaring above a winter landscape. Soft yellow and brown Oak leaves frame the base of a hollow Oregon White Oak tree. The last of autumn's acorns attracts a Townsend's Chipmunk to the banks of the lake, where a Trout swims up from the water below.

The opposite side of the panel, facing the boat ramp, features an Oregon White Oak tree with a hollow center and a wide, mossy trunk. At the bottom of the panel, Mahonia (Oregon Grape) shows its bright winter colors, with red leaves and blue berries shared by a flock of Cedar Waxwings.

In this description, the names of plants and animals are capitalized in accordance with Robin Wall Kimmerer's gesture of acknowledgement, respect, and reciprocity towards the many species that share our world, supporting and sustaining us in ways we may or may not know. See her book The Serviceberry to learn more.
