Blooming pink cherry trees line the Tom McCall Waterfront Park in Portland Oregon, framing a view of the iconic Steel Bridge across the Willamette River. The 100 cherry trees were a gift from Japan for the dedication of the Japanese American Historical Plaza in 1990. The park is located where Portland Japantown once stood.
