A bright autumn day looking north towards the colorful mountains of Ghost Ranch from Abiquiu Lake, a reservoir created in 1963 by damming the Rio Chama. Bright yellow flowers bloom on the pale blue-green stems of a chamisa bush, an iconic bush native to the New Mexico desert.
