Mud Flats at Deer Isle #5 Purchase
Low tide reveals the gray mud of clam flats off the coast of Deer Isle, in Downeast Maine. Below the tideline, orange kelp grows around pink granite boulders. Two small rowboats rest on the grass at the shoreline. Visible in the distance is the Sunshine Bar, a small causeway connecting Greenlaw Neck with the Sunshine Peninsula.
